Osiyo. Dohiju? Hey, welcome back.
I’ve finally finished one project. There are so many more to fill in that newly created space. However, I’m going to work to finish other projects before adding a new project to my schedule. I have an upcoming post on sitcom writing. It is multipart already but will continue with my creation and writing process. Maybe that will help writers. I still have a feature-length script to review. It’s been 7+ months so it’s time to review that and see how close I can come to finishing it. It’s probably my best story. It needs a lot of work to make it more riveting and suspenseful. It’s already character driven. I’m also exploring the idea of a new 45 min TV show. I’ll post more about this in the future.
I’ve been hitting the workouts hard (harder than last time). It has been 21 days and I have not lost any weight. On 28Jun I weighed 291 or so. I went on vacation and went up to 303. Two weeks later I weigh between 294 and 297 depending on the time of day. So when I say I’ve not lost any weight I’m referring to where I started. A year ago I weighed 276. I heard something motivational from Chris Pratt in an interview “who do you want to be in 8 months?” I’ve said this before. If I had just kept working out in 2012 or any time before I would’ve been that many years ahead. Now, I’m working to make a lasting change. I know it’s only been 3 weeks, but I feel like I should’ve had some weight drop. I have size drop, for sure. I don’t have a weight drop. Now, I’m not concerned about it. I know that in 9 weeks I’ll drop a lot of size. Building the muscle now then later it’ll be worth it. I did wake up a little sore. I’ve not felt sore in months. I feel good though. I’ve printed off my daily schedule. I decided to go with printing my own daily schedule. I got tired of daily planners because they didn’t give me what I want or need. I can better print a google calendar and then hand write my days than saving a panda planner (which i love) or other planners.
Today, I add card memorization to my bike rides. Speaking of, I need to adjust my seat so it is more comfortable. With the card memorization, I have two sets of cards. One has the memory word on the same size as the face. The other set has the memory word on the back so I can do drills where I memorize with faces and where I can test myself. The idea is that I’ve associated a word with a card based on the numerical value. When I test my memorization skills I make a story out of the words associated with the cards. I can memorize about half the deck of cards in about a minute. Nowhere near fast enough, but it gets easier as you go. Because I’m a pattern person it eventually gets to where I see the card value and suit and immediately see the picture that’s associated with it. With practice it’s very easy to see the whole pictoral story. Just like with practice it’s easy to see tactics in chess. I do this on my bike because there’s something about the kinesthetic movement that helps me; also memorizing while under stress means that when I’m not under stress it’s easier to memorize cards.
I think that’s it for today.
Until next time. Dodadagohvi.
