Day 3042 – So Much Progress!

Osiyo. Dohiju? Hey, welcome back.

I’m very pleased this morning. I’ve basically worked out 2 weeks in the last month. The first week I was on vacation. Then last week I injured my back and was basically not moving much for the last 10+ days. This morning’s workout I felt like I could walk forever. 20 mins in and I had to move to weights bc of time constraints.

Alright, let’s start with how I feel. The simple answer is amazing. I am hitting my workouts a little harder and when I’m done I’m not wiped out. I spent 3+ hours cleaning my garage and hauling heavy boxes everywhere and I was a little tired. I sat down for 5 mins and I was ready to go again. This morning I pushed pretty hard on weight. I was able to push more weight than I had before. I prefer body weight exercises over weights, but it is nice to be able to see exactly how much I can push and how much improvement there is. I mean, I can tell improvements like being able to hold a TRX incline plank for 30s at a time and be able to keep doing them. However, I like some better metrics. I really track metrics.

Except for the first week I stayed under 1500 calories. I counted zero macros. The last few days I’ve not been very hungry at all. On the 6th of July I weighted 303 pounds. I am now .2 pounds under what I was on the 29th of June (I’m at 291 right now). I stayed about 295-299 until just yesterday when I dropped to 292.

Caliper Readings Comparison

Those are huge differences – the body fat for the first one was calculated to be 35%. The second calculates to 25%.

My taping measurements have changed a ton as well. Going from a waist of 44.25-44.5 down to 41.5. My chest went from 41.5+ down to 39.5. And my thighs went from 28.5 to 27.5. Again major differences. I don’t believe the calculations that I went from 193 lean body mass to 217 lean body mass. That seems like a lot to change. However, With the fact that I wasn’t losing weight but I was losing size and I was crushing workouts (work harder than last time) I did expect some muscle gain.

I have noticed huge differences in my body composition as well. When I look in the mirror I can see that I don’t have as much fat. My clothes fit better too.

4 weeks down. 8 weeks to go. This last month seemed like it would take forever to get here, but it’s flown by. If these are the changes I can expect after 4 weeks then I’m quite excited for the next 4 and 8 weeks.

I don’t feel like I usually do at 4 weeks or more where if I eat something I don’t normally want then I’ll just eat it all. Otherwise, I feel amazing and I’m ready for the next 8 weeks.

Until next time. Dodadagohvi.
