ᎣᏏᏲ. ᏙᎯᏧ? Hey, welcome back!
I have been extremely busy the last couple months. I’ve worked almost exclusively on the Cherokee Dictionary site. Since March 23rd or so I’ve not worked on my HUD nor headset. It may still be another few weeks.
Let’s start with SERINDA. The next step is to finish the OpenCV and BabylonJS integration. It’s actually done. I just need to fix some of the issues where the overlay isn’t moving exactly right. I’m pretty excited about that. If I hadn’t been to that point then I wouldn’t have been able to let it go so I could work on the CED site.
The CED site has been immensely challenging and rewarding. I am nearly done with the conjugation engine and deconstructor engine. I published most of the libraries publicly. The ones that I haven’t aren’t done yet. When they are they’ll be published too. I created a build process for the dictionary that is pretty much automated from cloning repos, building, publishing, backing up, etc. I am extremely happy with this work and I started migrating the front end to React. I’m not going to push too much into this until the libraries are complete.
I have stepped up my Cherokee language learning game. I figure that I know a lot of the inner workings of the language it’s time that I put it all together. My goal is to be able to write blogs, make videos, and more entirely in Cherokee.
The last couple weeks I spent most of my savings on the backyard. We finally saved enough to buy the temporary pool and build a small deck and area for the pool. It’s finally done. Now, we have to get the pool situated fully and start filling it.
Finally, I was out eating with some friends yesterday and was sent a picture of us sitting at a table. I realized how neglectful I’ve been on working out and eating better. If August 20 last year was the starting point where I was the lowest in a year at 288. Today, I’m at 327. Nine months and 50 pounds. I’ve been working so much that I haven’t spent time taking care of myself. If you’ve read anything from this blog since 2012 you’d know that’s what I do. The lowest I’ve been was 260 which was after juicing in 2015. 4 years ago I weighed 331 when I ate only potatoes and dropped 20 pounds but I thought I dropped to 280 at that time. I didn’t. I just dropped 20 pounds then 4 months later I dropped to 280. This is all because of inconsistency. I need to do things daily and completely. So if I workout it’s not 2 months of working out super hard then stopping. I make a lot of progress then I lose it all. The good news is that I’m not eating a lot of candy and crap. Just not moving. I’ve already worked up my plan so it’s not all out without a plan to taper off and continue moving down.
Enough of the rambling post.
Until next time. Dodadagohvi. ᏙᏓᏓᎪᎲᎢ.
