I really wish I had the time to work more on my MR or even AR devices. Unfortunately, that would mean I’d spend more time in a chair and not less. It also means I wouldn’t finish the items I need to finish. However, even if I took the existing SERINDA work and was able to voice control reading PDFs I think that’d be a boon. As well, if the Mad Gaze GLOW worked better I might use them to stream things off my phone while I work out. I’ve already talked about how I feel about those style technologies. Some other time.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving in the US. I did very well and did not eat too much. I had a small biscuit with gravy, some deviled eggs, cheese, pepperoni, pulled pork, and pecan pie. I did eat a lot of pecan pie. Overall I stuck with meats and cheeses. In the past, I’ve eaten everything and been very sick. I gained about 5 pounds yesterday. That certainly wasn’t in food. If I were guessing most of the weight was water. I only had water yesterday. But the foods I ate were high in sodium. Not important, just noting.
Today’s plan is to time my entire workout from start to finish. If you read the last entry here you’ll see my workout plan. The only difference between that plan and what I’m going to do today is that I’m adding interval sprints at the end and removing the sledgehammer since I don’t have a sledgehammer. The interval sprints will be short and without a weight vest as fast as I can. I’ll time these so I have something to strive to beat. The last time I did this my run time over 5 months dropped from 10+ minutes a mile to 5 minutes a mile. I weigh a lot more than I did when I ran that fast – about 120 pounds different. I’m not looking to run a 5-minute mile, though that would be awesome. I’m looking to increase my VO2 so I don’t get as winded.
As a review the next two weeks I’m pushing very hard to decrease my weight and still workout. Most of my diet will be meats, protein shakes, and some veggies like broccoli. I’ll also be intermittent fasting. I haven’t decided the times, yet. That’s part of what I need to do today. I’ll post an update on what I decided tomorrow. As well, I need biweekly testing to check my progress.
