It has been 19 days since I displayed the first symptom of COVID. One of my kids picked it up at a school event and brought it home the week of Thanksgiving. It went through the house with myself being last. No one else had it as bad as I did this time. It was pretty rough. I had a fever and chills for 8 days. I’ve got a few more days of antibiotics for the sinus infection and then I’m done with isolation. The worst part was that I was alone for most of the 8 days. My wife had already recovered and had gone out of town. It was like having the worst cold and flu at the same time (minus some stomach issues). That all said, I had to stop working out b/c there were many days I couldn’t even move. I’m much better now. Lung capacity has increased and O2 levels are always over 95%.
My brain has finally come back from the hiatus. I’m currently working on my next big project which I’m outlining and mocking up. I am not going to say what it is right now, but it’s a pretty big deal. I’m also attempting to get my brain back into MR mode to work on SERINDA. I’ve come to the conclusion that all of the stuff I was working on is nice, but that’s not what I need right now. What I need is a convenient way to do the work I need to do and a convenient way to pack more in during workouts. What this translates to is the original intention was to be able to watch videos and read PDFs while working out. I’ve done a ton of work on other parts, but what I need are just these two items to start. I’ve kind of got those working. I won’t start back anytime soon. However, when I do get back into it I’ll go through loading, searching, and scrolling PDFs. Most of this works already I just need to add some gestures. I’ll also integrate it with Obsidian for notes, etc.
Today, I’ll be starting back into a workout routine. I’m really going to focus on cardio (walking, elliptical) and minimal weights. I tend to go overboard and right now I just need to increase my cardio before January. 21 days is a good time to get in the workouts I need.
I’ve got errands to run so that’s it for now. When I’m less scatterbrained later today I’ll discuss some upcoming work.
